Sustainability

We are committed to preserving both the Manor and the natural environment that surrounds it. Sustainability continues to play an important role in how we care for the estate, and we are always looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact.

Some of the initiatives currently in place include:

• Coffee grounds from our kitchens are available for guests to take away for composting.
• Nespresso coffee pods used in our guest rooms are fully recycled.
• Hundreds of native trees have been planted across the estate, while our existing trees are carefully monitored and maintained.
• Firewood is sourced from the estate wherever possible.
• Paper, cardboard, glass, plastic and used cooking oil are all recycled.
• Bat boxes, owl boxes and bird boxes have been installed throughout the grounds to support local wildlife.
• Ongoing conservation work is helping to preserve the Manor's historic moat.
• More than 2,000 English bluebell bulbs have been planted across the estate.
• A battery recycling point is available at Reception.
